Done Deal: Dallas Cowboys has sign Linval Joseph worth $65.5 Million adding veteran presence at nose tackle after….

While discussing the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp, general manager Jerry Jones hinted that the team might not be finished making additions to its defensive line. It now seems that the Cowboys are close to bringing in another veteran presence to bolster their defensive tackle rotation.

According to a source familiar with the situation, the Cowboys are expected to sign defensive tackle Linval Joseph. The 14-year NFL veteran has a strong connection with Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, having played under him in Minnesota from 2014 to 2019. At 35 years old, Joseph most recently played part of the 2023 season with the Buffalo Bills, appearing in seven games. During that time, he recorded 12 total tackles, including one tackle for loss, a quarterback hit, and a sack. Over his extensive career, Joseph has played for five different NFL teams after entering the league as a second-round pick by the New York Giants in 2010.

Joseph’s anticipated signing would make him the latest addition to Dallas’ defense during the preseason. Recently, the Cowboys also traded for defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and signed edge rusher Carl Lawson. With the regular season fast approaching, adding Joseph would provide Dallas with another option at nose tackle, addressing a key concern about the middle of their defensive line. Both Joseph and Phillips are expected to solidify the interior of the Cowboys’ defensive front, offering much-needed depth and experience as the team gears up for the season opener.
