Done Deal: Cadillac Racing Confirms GTP Driver Roster for 2025 and….

The 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, Cadillac Racing is set to feature an accomplished roster of drivers, including several champions. With a notable expansion to three factory-backed vehicles, Cadillac enters its third year competing in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class, aiming to make a strong impression in the upcoming season.

 

The season kicks off with the iconic Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25-26, where Cadillac Racing’s extended lineup will hit the track. Two of Cadillac’s GTP entries will be managed by Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing, while the third car, branded as Cadillac Whelen, will be run by Action Express Racing. This expansion marks Cadillac’s commitment to competing at the highest level, allowing them to field more talent and maintain a prominent presence throughout the series.

 

All three cars will be Cadillac V-Series.Rs, equipped with a custom-built 5.5-liter DOHC V-8 engine, designed to deliver top performance and reliability across the endurance-focused IMSA schedule. Cadillac’s driver lineup includes those committed to the entire nine-round GTP season as well as specialized drivers for the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup rounds. This diverse mix of full-season and endurance-specific drivers highlights Cadillac Racing’s strategic approach to maintaining competitive depth across various race formats and tracks, making them a team to watch in 2025 as they aim for podium finishes and championship points.
