Indiana Fever basketball star Caitlin Clark has addressed the possibility of joining Angel Reese in the newly-formed women’s basketball league, Unrivaled, which is designed to give WNBA players a viable financial alternative during the offseason, reducing the need to play overseas. The league, which will feature 30 players competing in a 3×3 format across six teams, is set to be based entirely in Miami. It promises to attract some of the biggest names in women’s basketball, including Reese, Kelsey Plum, and Jewell Lloyd. In addition, UConn star Paige Bueckers has agreed to participate through an NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deal, adding even more star power to the league.
When asked about her potential involvement in Unrivaled, Clark neither confirmed nor denied her interest. Her response emphasized her current priorities, making it clear that her focus remains on her existing commitments. “Honestly, I’m just focused on this right now. One thing at a time. Can’t always just be moving on to the next. My focus is right here,” Clark stated when questioned about her possible participation in the league.
Clark’s non-committal stance suggests that while she may be open to the idea of playing in Unrivaled, her immediate attention is on her current responsibilities, leaving her future involvement in the league uncertain.
