Stetson Lawrence, a nine-time PBR world finals qualifier, reached the pinnacle of the bull riding world despite enduring personal tragedies and earlier setbacks. However, in 2021, he sustained a severe neck injury during a bull ride, necessitating the insertion of a metal plate and screws in his collarbone. After recovering, Lawrence attempted a comeback in 2022 but again suffered a significant neck injury. Doctors warned him that another similar injury could result in paralysis, prompting Lawrence to retire from the sport soon after.

This journey is depicted in Keith Malloy’s *Another Eight Seconds: The Stetson Lawrence Story*, a 16-minute black-and-white documentary. The film, produced by 805 Beer, had its world premiere in Fort Worth last month and is now available on YouTube. The documentary highlights Lawrence’s upbringing in a rodeo family in Williston, North Dakota, his deep connection to bull riding, and the support from his mother. A Chippewa Sioux Native American, Lawrence is among the top 25 bull riders globally and one of the few Native American professional riders. The film offers insight into his childhood, the rodeo culture that influenced him, and the critical role his family played in his success.

Lawrence praised the documentary, calling it a tribute to his roots, his community, and his family. He expressed gratitude to 805 Beer for sharing his story and hopes the film inspires others to face their challenges. He looks forward to future projects with the team.
