Breaking News: Shane Van Gisbergen Officially committed to Trackhouse after announcing is departure from…..

Shane van Gisbergen’s rapid ascent in NASCAR has now been solidified with a major long-term commitment. Trackhouse Racing has officially locked in the New Zealand-born driver with a multiyear contract extension, guaranteeing that the most successful foreign-born competitor in NASCAR history will continue to be a key presence in the Cup Series for years ahead.

Van Gisbergen, often referred to as SVG, has already tallied four career victories—three of them during a dominant 2025 season. His year began with a groundbreaking win at the inaugural Mexico City race at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, making it back-to-back victories in debut events. This feat followed his unforgettable Cup Series debut win at the first-ever Chicago Street Race in 2023.

The momentum didn’t slow down in 2025. Returning to Chicago, SVG scored his second victory of the season before quickly adding another triumph at Sonoma Raceway just a week later. These wins have propelled him to fourth place in the playoff point standings, positioning him as a serious championship threat. Known for his elite road course abilities, van Gisbergen has been proving that his talents extend beyond technical tracks.

Determined to become a complete NASCAR competitor, SVG has been working to sharpen his skills on oval tracks as well. That dedication paid off recently with a win in a legends race in Charlotte, showing that he’s committed to excelling across all disciplines. Five Lug Racing extends heartfelt congratulations to Shane van Gisbergen and Trackhouse Racing, wishing them continued success as they chase even greater milestones in the sport.
