Tony Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, has made a remarkable transition to NHRA’s Top Fuel category. Recently, he secured his second victory in three races at the Route 66 Nationals in Joliet, Illinois, by defeating Justin Ashley in the final round. This win propelled Stewart to the top of the Top Fuel points standings for the first time in his NHRA career, accumulating 514 points, just ahead of Shawn Langdon, who has 511 points .
In the Funny Car division, Matt Hagan is demonstrating consistent performance. He currently holds third place in the standings with 423 points, trailing leader Austin Prock by 83 points and second-place Jack Beckman by 32 points . Hagan’s recent performances, including a semifinal finish at the Route 66 Nationals, have kept him firmly in contention for the championship.
