In a thrilling encounter on May 20, 2025, the Atlanta Dream secured their first victory of the WNBA season by narrowly defeating the Indiana Fever 91–90 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The game was marked by intense competition and standout performances from both teams.

 

The Dream established a significant lead, entering the fourth quarter ahead 76–65. However, the Fever, led by rookie sensation Caitlin Clark, mounted a formidable comeback. Clark ignited the rally with consecutive deep three-pointers, contributing to her impressive stat line of 27 points and 11 assists. Her efforts were complemented by Aliyah Boston, who recorded 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Kelsey Mitchell, who added 24 points of her own.

 

Despite the Fever’s resurgence, the Dream maintained their composure. Rhyne Howard played a pivotal role, sinking a crucial free throw with 9.1 seconds remaining to reclaim the lead for Atlanta.
