Just In: Done Deal’ Orioles has Officially Agreed and Signed Veteran Andrew Kittredge to a $10 million, 1-year deal to Replace……

The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal with reliever Andrew Kittredge, according to a source familiar with the matter. The deal, which is pending a physical, adds a reliable veteran arm to Baltimore’s bullpen as the team looks to build on its success from the previous season. Kittredge, who most recently pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays, brings years of experience in high-leverage situations to an Orioles team on the rise.

The 33-year-old right-hander boasts a career ERA of 3.68 over seven seasons in the majors, with his best year coming in 2021 when he was selected as an All-Star. That season, Kittredge posted a 1.88 ERA with 77 strikeouts in 71 2/3 innings, showcasing his ability to handle both setup and closing duties. However, injuries limited his appearances in 2023, and this deal provides him with an opportunity to prove he can return to his All-Star form.

For the Orioles, Kittredge’s signing signals a continued commitment to strengthening their bullpen, which played a crucial role in the team’s push for the playoffs last season. Baltimore’s young roster has shown immense potential, and adding a seasoned reliever could provide the stability needed in late-game scenarios.

The deal includes performance incentives, underscoring the Orioles’ calculated risk on Kittredge’s rebound potential. With this signing, Baltimore solidifies its bullpen depth, positioning itself as a strong contender in the competitive AL East for the 2025 season.
