Money Bank: Yankees has Regain and Signed Nolan Arenado who would Become their Best Defender and a……

The St. Louis Cardinals appear to be gearing up for a reset, which could involve offloading some of their larger contracts to prepare for a fresh start. Among the names generating significant trade buzz is Nolan Arenado.

Despite a relatively underwhelming season by his standards, Arenado remains one of the league’s most accomplished players. The eight-time All-Star and ten-time Gold Glove Award winner finished last season with a .272/.325/.394 slash line and 16 home runs. While those numbers mark a decline from his usual production, Arenado’s track record still makes him a valuable asset. The Cardinals had a chance to move him earlier, but Arenado exercised his no-trade clause to block a potential deal to the Houston Astros.

For the New York Yankees, Arenado would be an ideal addition. With plans to shift Jazz Chisholm back to his natural position at second base, the Yankees are in need of a reliable third baseman. After missing out on signing Juan Soto, the team now has more financial flexibility to address other areas of the roster, making third base a logical next step.

Arenado could provide the Yankees with much-needed stability in their lineup, particularly if a change of scenery and joining a contending team helps him regain his elite form. Beyond his offensive contributions, Arenado’s defensive prowess would immediately elevate the team, as he would become their best defender and a game-changer at the hot corner. Acquiring Arenado could help solidify the Yankees’ infield and enhance their chances of making a deep postseason run.
