Breanne Allarie, a mother of two from Vancouver, British Columbia, has captured attention with her creative gymnastics-inspired video, blending Olympic-style moves with humor in her kitchen. The clip, posted on Instagram, went viral almost instantly, racking up over 22 million views in just a day. Allarie credits her husband, Jordan, for filming the video, which took only five minutes to create.
Inspired by recent Olympic gymnastics events, Allarie decided to test her own abilities. “I saw the routines and thought, ‘I could probably do that,’” she shared. Using her children’s mat, she showcased moves like the handstand, switch leap, and Shushunova, the latter being a challenging gymnastics skill that requires jumping and landing flat on the stomach. “It looks like a belly flop, but it’s actually a legitimate gymnastics move,” she explained.
Allarie’s video isn’t just a spontaneous effort. She has a background in competitive gymnastics, having trained intensively until an injury at age 14 ended her Olympic aspirations. After fracturing her back during a tumbling pass, she was fortunate to recover and regain mobility. Post-recovery, she transitioned to professional dance, performing on cruise ships and at Tokyo Disney alongside her husband.
Now a full-time mom to her two kids, aged 4 and 6, Allarie has shifted her focus to creating online content, allowing her to channel her creativity in new ways. Despite stepping back from professional performing, her latest viral video showcases her enduring talent and passion for entertaining others.
