The Philadelphia Eagles secured their eighth consecutive victory with a hard-fought 24-19 win over the Baltimore Ravens at the Inner Harbor on Sunday evening. Eagles fans, undeterred by the Thanksgiving weekend traffic along I-95, erupted in chants of “MVVP” as Saquon Barkley delivered a game-changing 25-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, extending the Eagles’ lead to nine points.
Barkley, who tallied an incredible 255 rushing yards the previous week, showcased his brilliance once again. Against the league’s top-ranked run defense, he amassed 107 yards on 23 carries, while the Eagles as a team totaled 141 rushing yards. The Ravens had previously allowed a single-game high of 63 rushing yards to Najee Harris. However, the Eagles’ streak of six consecutive games with at least 150 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns came to an end, just nine yards shy of an NFL record.
The game began with the Eagles trailing 9-0. Dallas Goedert ignited the comeback with a 17-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. Jalen Hurts added a 1-yard “tush-push” touchdown, giving the Eagles a 14-9 lead. Baltimore’s Justin Tucker narrowed the gap to 14-12 before halftime, but missed two key field goals in the third quarter. Barkley’s fourth-quarter touchdown and a resilient defensive effort sealed the victory.
Defensively, the Eagles delivered three sacks from Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, and a shared effort by Zack Baun and Jalyx Hunt. Now 10-2, the Eagles remain unbeaten since September 29 and look forward to playing four of their final five games at home.
