Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR) has revealed its driver lineup for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, featuring a notable reunion with Kamui Kobayashi. The Japanese racer, who previously won the Rolex 24 at Daytona with WTR in 2019 and 2020, will return as the fourth driver for the No. 40 Cadillac at Daytona. Kobayashi joins a lineup that includes full-time drivers Louis Deletraz and Jordan Taylor, as well as endurance driver Alex Lynn.

“Kamui’s talent is unquestionable,” said team owner Wayne Taylor. “He’s been with us before, winning the Rolex 24 twice, once alongside Jordan. This team is about getting results with no egos, which is key for big wins like Daytona.”
In the No. 10 Cadillac V-Series.R, veterans Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque will be joined by endurance specialist Will Stevens, with Brendon Hartley rounding out the crew for the Rolex 24. Taylor expressed excitement for the No. 10 team’s continuity, noting the established chemistry among drivers who have been with WTR for years.
Kobayashi, who also competes as a driver and team principal for Toyota in the World Endurance Championship, shared his enthusiasm about rejoining calling it a “homecoming.” He thanked WTR, Cadillac, and Toyota Gazoo Racing for the opportunity, stating his eagerness to bring strong results at Daytona.
Meanwhile, Cadillac Racing confirmed that Earl Bamber and Jack Aitken will drive the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Action Express Racing Cadillac, with Frederik Vesti joining for endurance events, replacing Pipo Derani in the full-season lineup.
