Sad News: WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark meets Judge despite the loss to Rangers after…

WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark recently made an appearance at Yankee Stadium during a game between the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers. Following the Yankees’ 9-4 loss to the Rangers, Yankees manager Aaron Boone spoke highly of Clark’s visit to the stadium during the post-game press conference.

Boone was asked about the Indiana Fever guard and was quick to express his admiration for the 22-year-old star. Clark had the opportunity to meet Boone and Yankees players like Aaron Judge before the game. Boone repeatedly referred to her as “impressive” and mentioned that several people at the Yankees’ facility were “starstruck” upon seeing Clark.

“It was really cool,” Boone said. “She was impressive. I got to meet her in my office… She was pretty impressive. It was fun to see how many of our guys were just starstruck being around her. Pretty cool meeting her, and she brought a good start to the day with her.”

Boone’s respect for Clark was evident, as he took the time to commend her despite his team’s loss. Boone has been the Yankees’ manager since 2018, and before that, he enjoyed a lengthy MLB career from 1997 to 2009, playing for teams like the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins, Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, and the Yankees.

While Boone is recognized as a leader in baseball, he also shared some insights on Clark. The Fever rookie has been making waves in her first year in the WNBA, currently averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, leading the league in assists per game.

Clark has been instrumental in driving an incredible change in the league, and as Boone noted, she has been nothing short of “impressive.” She also participated in the most-viewed WNBA game in the past 23 years, an 88-87 loss to Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on June 23, which drew over 2.3 million viewers.

Clark’s star power has made her one of the biggest names in sports, and her influence is now reaching beyond the basketball court and into the world of baseball.
