Done Deal: Finally Haas sign Hailie Deegan to a multi-year contract worth $68.5M for

Hailie Deegan’s future in NASCAR is uncertain following the conclusion of her tenure with AM Racing after the Chicago Street Course event. Her last race took place at the Nashville Superspeedway on June 29, where she finished 28th. Despite the ambiguity surrounding her next steps, the Haas Factory Team has emerged as a potential destination for Deegan in the 2025 season. This new NASCAR organization includes some members from Stewart-Haas Racing, and its president, Joe Custer, recently spoke with NBC Sports about the possibility of bringing Deegan on board.

Custer expressed confidence in Deegan’s potential, stating, “We believe there’s more in [Hailie Deegan], and we want to be a part of that.” He emphasized the team’s need to succeed at the competition level and indicated they are exploring all options for drivers, including current NASCAR participants and Cup Series drivers who might move down to the Xfinity Series.

Custer highlighted the importance of winning for the team’s business model, explaining that their success is contingent on having technical partners and delivering strong performance on the track. By prioritizing competitive results, the Haas Factory Team aims to establish credibility and support among its partners. With this context, it seems that Deegan may be on the verge of joining the Haas Factory Team for the upcoming season.
