Breaking news: Kentucky Wildcat have signed Mikka Muurinen from Finland worth $65 Million Dollar to join the College

According to Travis Branham, Miikka Muurinen has received an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. Branham mentioned that Muurinen is expected to make significant strides in the upcoming class of 2026 rankings update.

 

Muurinen, a 6-foot-10, 185-pound power forward, is currently ranked 44th overall and ninth among centers in the 2026 class. This already places him as a well-known top-50 prospect on the cusp of achieving 5-star status. On3 has already ranked him 10th overall in the 2026 class.

 

Originating from Finland, Muurinen now plays for Compass Prep in Arizona. His list of scholarship offers includes prestigious programs such as the Duke Blue Devils, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, and BYU Cougars, among others.

 

During this year’s Nike Peach Jam, Muurinen showcased his skills by averaging 17.8 points per game and impressively shooting 14 out of 28 from three-point range. Additionally, he was recently part of Finland’s roster for the 2024 FIBA Olympic qualifying matches, where he averaged 2.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game.

 

It is evident that Muurinen is now a key target for Kentucky in the class of 2026, firmly establishing himself on their radar. His combination of size, skill, and performance has made him a highly sought-after prospect, attracting attention from several top-tier college basketball programs. As the next rankings update approaches, Muurinen is poised to climb even higher, reflecting his growing reputation and potential in the basketball world.
