Just In: Former basketball Icon Cheryl Miller sends message to Caitlin Clark penning new deal with……

WNBA legend Cheryl Miller has been highly impressed by Caitlin Clark’s performance so far. On Monday, Miller commented on the Indiana Fever rookie, expressing admiration without restraint.

“There are many shooters out there. Some are naturally talented, some improve through practice, and others need multiple screens to get open. You can set a screen for Caitlin, but she doesn’t need it. Caitlin has excellent ball-handling skills,” Miller noted. “One aspect of her game that I think people overlook is her ability to pass the ball.”

Currently, Clark is averaging 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and a league-leading 7.8 assists per game midway through her rookie season as the Fever’s top draft pick. The frontrunner for the 2024 Rookie of the Year award, she was also selected for the All-Star team in her debut season.

Miller’s praise highlights Clark’s versatility and skill set beyond just shooting. She emphasizes that while many shooters rely on screens to get open, Clark’s ball-handling allows her to create her own opportunities. Additionally, Miller points out Clark’s underrated passing ability, suggesting that it is a significant part of her game that deserves more recognition.

Clark’s performance so far reflects her potential to be a standout player in the WNBA. Her impressive stats and All-Star selection in her first year underscore her impact on the court. With such high praise from a Hall of Famer like Miller, Clark’s future in the league looks exceptionally bright.
