Breaking News: Stewart-Haas Racing unveils Caitlin Clark paint scheme for Josh Berry at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Caitlin Clark, an emerging star for the Indiana Fever, will be featured on Josh Berry’s car as NASCAR returns to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval after three years of using the infield road course. This collaboration marks Panini’s first primary car sponsorship of the 2024 season and their first at the Cup Series level since 2021. Berry’s car will showcase one of Clark’s trading cards from her illustrious college basketball career at Iowa, specifically the “Raining 3s” card from Panini’s newly released Caitlin Clark Collection.

Berry, a rookie in NASCAR’s premier series, currently leads the Rookie of the Year standings. The 33-year-old has had an impressive season, securing two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes. With just five races left in the regular season, he is focused on securing a spot in the playoffs. Berry credited his team’s expertise, stating, “The No. 4 team has a bunch of really smart guys putting together strategies, building fast cars, and giving me a chance to go race hard.” He emphasized their goal of winning the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award, a target they are close to achieving.

Sunday’s race at the Brickyard will be Berry’s first experience on the 2.5-mile oval at Indianapolis. Following this weekend, NASCAR will take a two-week hiatus for the Paris Olympic Games before resuming with four consecutive races leading into the 10-race playoffs, starting on September 8 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Meanwhile, Clark and the Indiana Fever have a game against the Dallas Wings this week before the WNBA pauses for the All-Star weekend and the Olympic break. Clark is set to participate in the WNBA All-Star Game, where she will face the U.S. Olympic team in a nationally televised game on ABC this Saturday. This event will further elevate Clark’s profile, both in the basketball world and now in NASCAR, thanks to her unique collaboration with Panini and Berry.
