Nick Saban may have retired from his head coaching role at Alabama football, but he continues to be involved with the program. Saban, a seven-time national champion, is now working in an advisory capacity with the Crimson Tide, earning a salary of $500,000.04 annually, as revealed by The Tuscaloosa News.
Following his retirement, Alabama announced that Saban would remain an employee within the athletic department. He operates from an office at Bryant-Denny Stadium, where he serves as an advisor under the direction of athletic director Greg Byrne.
Saban expressed his commitment to supporting Alabama athletics and the football program, hoping for continued success for the players and coaches. In addition to his advisory role, Saban has taken on a new position as an analyst for ESPN’s College GameDay.
Despite stepping down from coaching, Saban remains deeply rooted in Alabama, viewing the state as his home and community. He pledged to continue contributing to the community and supporting the football team. Saban stays in touch with new head coach Kalen DeBoer and defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, emphasizing his availability to assist them and the players as needed.
Saban’s tenure at Alabama, which spanned 17 years, was marked by extraordinary success, including six national championships. While no longer on the sidelines, he remains involved with the team, helping to maintain the legacy of excellence he established.
