Latest Announcement: Jorge Martin’s move to Aprilia despite is contender with….

Jorge Martin’s move to Aprilia from Pramac Ducati has stirred the 2025 MotoGP rider market. Initially poised to join Lenovo Ducati alongside Francesco Bagnaia, Martin’s future was thrown into uncertainty when Marc Marquez unexpectedly leapfrogged him. Martin’s tenure at Ducati has been marked by missed opportunities with the factory team, first in 2023 when Enea Bastianini was promoted over him, and then in 2024, despite being a title contender until the final round.

The tipping point came at Mugello 2024, where Martin went from being the frontrunner to losing out to Marquez within days. Disappointed by Ducati’s decision, Martin decided to seek a team where he felt appreciated. He reflected on the Mugello weekend, mentioning that information changed rapidly, and he realized post-race that Ducati did not see him as their best option.

Martin expressed his frustration at being overlooked despite four years of striving to join the official team. However, he is optimistic about his future with Aprilia, where he believes he will be more valued and achieve his dream of becoming a factory rider. He emphasized the importance of joining a team that would fully support him.

For the remainder of the season, Martin remains committed to Ducati, aiming to finish the year professionally and successfully. Despite concerns about the treatment he might receive from Ducati while competing against future factory teammates Bagnaia and Marquez, Ducati assured him of full support. Martin confirmed he would continue to receive the same equipment and conditions to compete fairly.

Martin reiterated his professionalism and dedication to Ducati until the season ends in Valencia, confident there would be no issues affecting his performance. He is determined to give his best and fight for victories under fair conditions.
