Latest Report: AC Milan in talk to sign Martinez worth €50 from barca due to….

According to a report from Spain, AC Milan is showing interest in acquiring Barcelona center-back Iñigo Martínez, but there is a crucial condition that must be fulfilled first. Mundo Deportivo, as relayed by Radio Rossonera, states that Milan might be looking to strengthen their defense this summer, with Martínez being a potential target. The 33-year-old defender is expected to leave Barcelona due to limited opportunities in the squad, despite having a contract that runs until June 2025. However, Milan’s pursuit of Martínez is contingent upon the departure of their current center-back, Fikayo Tomori.

For Tomori to exit Milan, the club requires an irresistible offer in the range of €50-60 million, which would provide a significant financial gain. Newcastle United has shown a solid interest in Tomori, and Milan has a good relationship with them, as demonstrated by the Sandro Tonali transfer. Nonetheless, the latest reports suggest that Tomori is not interested in moving to Newcastle. He prefers to stay with Milan, which offers the advantage of Champions League football.

Martínez, who joined Barcelona from Athletic Bilbao last summer, made 25 appearances across all competitions in the last season. His potential move to Milan hinges entirely on Tomori’s future with the club.
