Breaking News: Dallas Mavericks has trade $160M to Jerami Grant of Portland Trail Blazers star….

After their loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks are focused on enhancing their roster this summer. This is a challenging endeavor, particularly under the league’s new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), but the Mavericks are committed to finding the right pieces to support Luka Doncic for another significant playoff push.

According to a recent report by Ian Begley of SNY, the Mavericks have shown interest in acquiring Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant. Grant is currently on a five-year, $160 million contract with the Trail Blazers and has proven to be highly productive as a full-time NBA starter. He joined the Detroit Pistons in 2020 and quickly made an impact by achieving a career-high average of 22.3 points per game, nearly winning the Most Improved Player award.

In Dallas, Grant would benefit from the defensive focus on Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, potentially making him an excellent addition to the team. Although the financial and logistical aspects of securing his contract present challenges for the Mavericks, the potential basketball advantages make it a compelling option for the franchise.
