Luca Marini is experiencing significant challenges this season, his first riding the Honda RC213V with the factory team, and has yet to score any points in the championship. Despite these struggles, Marini remains motivated and had anticipated many of the issues he is facing.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marini acknowledged that he was prepared for the difficulties that would come with joining Honda, as reported by Motosan: “I came to Honda knowing what I was up against; prepared for a difficult year.”
Marini maintains a determined spirit, aiming to achieve the best results possible despite the current lack of excitement. His primary focus is not on immediate success but on different objectives: “The competitive part of me wants to see myself at the front fighting for the podium. But that’s not realistic. The goal is another: to give one hundred percent and bring home what we can. But, in parallel, to develop the bike to get back to the top.”
Marini is confident in his abilities and emphasizes the importance of perseverance: “In our sport, it’s an easy thing to think about; but I’ve always been in difficult positions, I’ve never had the best package. I am aware of my speed, my strength and I have to learn to enjoy more what I have.”
Marini’s commitment to improving both his performance and the bike reflects his resilience and determination to overcome the challenges he faces this season, demonstrating his unwavering belief in his potential and the progress he can make.
