Sad News: Hilfiger has promise never to accompany Hamilton to sponsors when moving to…..

Lewis Hamilton has confirmed that fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger will not accompany him as a sponsor when he moves to Ferrari. Hamilton is set to leave Mercedes at the end of this year, concluding a 12-year partnership with the team. The seven-time world champion will join Charles Leclerc at Ferrari in 2025, creating a formidable driver duo.

There has been considerable speculation about which Mercedes engineers and staff might follow Hamilton to Ferrari. Additionally, there has been curiosity regarding potential sponsors. Hamilton, renowned for his global appeal, has brought numerous sponsors to Mercedes, including a close association with Tommy Hilfiger. The two have collaborated on various fashion projects over the years.

Despite this close relationship, Hamilton clarified during the Spanish Grand Prix that Tommy Hilfiger would not be moving with him to Ferrari. Speaking to media, including Crash.net, Hamilton stated, “I don’t know exactly what I’m doing with the team. I’ve brought them to the team a long time ago now. We’re still doing collabs with young designers this year, [something] this weekend. I don’t know what the team’s plan is going on, but, we probably have our own thing going on, so they won’t be coming to Ferrari with us.”

Prior to the Spanish GP, the Tommy X Mercedes-AMG F1 X Clarence Ruth collaboration was launched, with Mercedes personnel donning items from the collection designed by Clarence Ruth. Tommy Hilfiger praised Ruth, saying, “Clarence Ruth is a force to be reckoned with. It’s been incredible watching him grow since we started working together during the Tommy Hilfiger New Legacy Challenge back in 2022. This is a collection that blurs the lines of fashion and motorsports through Ruth’s visionary lens. Today’s classics, inspired by tomorrow’s talent.”

Hamilton’s departure from Mercedes marks the end of an era, but his influence on fashion and motorsport remains significant, even as he transitions to Ferrari.
