EXCELLENT: ESPN’s Tim Legler praised Doncic, comparing him to a more agile Larry Bird and highlighting his LeBron-like playmaking….

Luka Doncic, at just 20 years old, is astonishing the NBA with his exceptional performance. Averaging nearly a 30-point triple-double this season, Doncic has set a record as the youngest player to achieve consecutive triple-doubles. His stellar play has drawn comparisons to basketball greats like Larry Bird and LeBron James.

Though Doncic was expected to be good, he has surpassed all expectations. In 14 games, he averages 29.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 9.4 assists per game. Recently, he scored 35 points, with 10 rebounds and 11 assists in just 26 minutes against the Golden State Warriors, following a 42-point, 11-rebound, and 12-assist performance against the San Antonio Spurs.

ESPN’s Tim Legler praised Doncic, comparing him to a more agile Larry Bird and highlighting his LeBron-like playmaking. Despite initial concerns about his athleticism, Doncic’s refined skills make him a formidable player, with an increasingly lethal step-back three-pointer.

Doncic’s teammates and opponents are equally impressed. Mavs guard JJ Barea believes Doncic can sustain his performance, citing his smart and efficient playing style. Warriors rookie Eric Paschall noted Doncic’s dominance at such a young age.

Mavs coach Rick Carlisle sees Doncic’s extraordinary performance as becoming the norm. Despite his impressive stats, there’s still room for improvement, indicating a bright future for Doncic in the NBA.
