Breaking: Hamilton’s surprising move to Ferrari was announced’ anticipated his departure due to an exit clause in his contract signed on…..

The 2024 F1 season will be Lewis Hamilton’s last with Mercedes, as the seven-time World Champion transitions to Ferrari next year, fulfilling a lifelong dream. James Allison, who has significant experience with Ferrari, having been part of their championship successes from 2000 to 2004, shared his insights on what Hamilton will encounter at Ferrari during an appearance on the Beyond the Grid podcast.

Allison explained that Hamilton will experience the unique spirit and passion of Ferrari, but emphasized that he must adapt to a culture where the car, rather than the driver, is often the star. He noted that this “Ferrari-first” environment can be challenging initially and requires adjustment.

Allison predicted that Hamilton might find the early stages tricky, as Ferrari prioritizes the brand over individual drivers. However, he suggested that if Hamilton embraces and loves this ethos, as Michael Schumacher did, there is potential for both Hamilton and Ferrari to thrive. Conversely, if Hamilton struggles with this dynamic, the prominence of the Ferrari brand may overshadow his presence.

Hamilton’s surprising move to Ferrari was announced before the start of the 2024 season, catching many off guard, although Mercedes had anticipated his departure due to an exit clause in his contract signed the previous summer. This transition marks a significant change in Hamilton’s career as he embarks on a new chapter with the iconic Italian team.
