Tragic News: Can’t think of a better partner” – Andre Agassi gushes over wife Steffi Graf while with German at Cluj exhibition

Andre Agassi ďr his experience partnering with his wife, Steffi Graf, after they teamed up for an exhibition match in Cluj, Romania. The legendary tennis duo faced off against Romanian players Simona Halep and Andrei Pavel. Graf and Agassi are among the most celebrated tennis players, boasting a combined total of 30 Grand Slam singles titles. Graf, with 22 Majors, is the only player to have won each Major at least four times. Agassi has eight Grand Slam titles, including four Australian Opens, two US Opens, and one each from Wimbledon and the French Open. Married since 2001, Agassi and Graf have two children, Jaden and Jaz Elle.

 

At the Cluj Sports Festival, the couple participated in an exhibition match against Halep and Pavel. Post-match, Agassi expressed that he couldn’t think of a better partner than Graf for a tennis match.

 

Prior to the Cluj event, Graf and Agassi participated in Pickleball Slam 2 on February 4 in Hollywood, Florida, where they competed against John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova, winning the $1 million prize. Agassi had previously teamed with Michael Chang in the inaugural Pickleball Slam in 2023, defeating Andy Roddick and John McEnroe.

 

Ahead of Pickleball Slam 2, Graf commented on the transition from tennis to pickleball, mentioning her struggle to “unlearn” tennis. She noted that while her mind understood the new game, her body resisted letting go of tennis instincts. While Graf’s only recent tennis engagement was in Cluj, Agassi has taken on the role of captain for Team World in the Laver Cup.
