Rams Injury Report: Two key members of the Rams are dealing with knee issues as OTAs wind down.

Injuries are an unavoidable part of the NFL, and the Los Angeles Rams have already been affected early this offseason. Linebacker Ernest Jones and offensive tackle Rob Havenstein are both dealing with minor knee injuries.

Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke to the media on Tuesday, expressing minimal concern over the injuries to Jones and Havenstein. McVay assured that Jones would be ready for training camp.

“He has a minor knee issue, but he’s making good progress,” McVay stated. “With the offseason coming to an end, the aim is for him to be ready and in good shape for training camp.”

“Rob is experiencing some knee soreness too. There’s nothing serious to worry about,” McVay said. “These players have significant experience, so we prefer to be cautious.”

Jones and Havenstein are crucial to the Rams’ plans for the 2024 season. Jones has established himself as a key defensive player, with his performance speaking volumes. In his first 32 games, he has amassed 171 tackles, tying for the eighth-most in Rams franchise history.

Havenstein is essential for protecting quarterback Matthew Stafford. As a Super Bowl champion, he is entering his tenth NFL season, all with the Rams, having played and started in 130 games.
