Alasdair Gold recently reported on Lucas Bergvall’s reflections about his move to Tottenham Hotspur and his first interactions with manager Ange Postecoglou during pre-season.
Reflecting on his discussion with Postecoglou, Bergvall described it as a positive experience, noting that Postecoglou is a straight forward and kind individual. Bergvall mentioned, “It was a really good conversation. He’s a really honest and kind man. We talked and he was really happy and me too of course. It was really great.”
When it came to choosing between Barcelona and Tottenham, Bergvall recounted a particularly hectic day. He described having a meal in the mountains with Deco, where they noticed a crowd of 150 people trying to get in. They quickly took a taxi to the city, only to be followed by the crowd. To evade them, they had to switch cars in a garage.
Bergvall recalled, “It was a crazy day. I came home and needed to decide, but my gut feeling was always Tottenham. They play really good football and it’s fun to watch. Ange is doing a great job. When you’re looking at the team you feel like they’re going to new areas and are starting to build something.”
Bergvall’s comments reflect his excitement about joining Tottenham and his confidence in the direction the team is headed under Postecoglou’s leadership.
