Reports from Italy suggest that Tottenham Hotspur is preparing to make a €40 million bid to acquire Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso this summer. The 24-year-old full-back is highly regarded in Italy for his versatility and talent, having played 24 matches as a right-back and 11 as a left-back for Juventus during the 2023/24 season. Cambiaso, who has earned two caps for Italy, is anticipated to be part of Luciano Spalletti’s squad as they defend their European Championship title this summer.
While Juventus is interested in offering Cambiaso a new contract due to his impressive form, they might consider selling him if a substantial offer is made. Aston Villa previously inquired about Cambiaso but were turned down. However, a bid of €40 million (£34 million) from Tottenham might be enough to persuade Juventus to sell.
Tottenham is also targeting Bologna center-back Riccardo Calafiori, who is valued at around €30 million. The 22-year-old Italy U21 international is also a target for Juventus, who see him as a potential replacement for Gleison Bremer, should Bremer be sold this summer. Juventus, however, might find Calafiori’s asking price too high and would need to sell players before making a purchase, which could provide Tottenham with an opportunity. Spurs have closely monitored Calafiori in recent weeks and are poised to make a move.
