Georgia CB gets first SEC offer from Vols, eager to visit Tennessee
Jalen Williams has never been to Tennessee’s campus, but he has heard good things about the Vols. After first-year Tennessee running backs coach De’Rail Sims stopped at his school this week, Williams is now eager to make the trip to Knoxville.
The Vols gave the Class of 2026 cornerback from Kell High School in Marietta, Ga., his first SEC scholarship offer Wednesday when Sims visited his school. Williams said the offer was “definitely” exciting, and he plans to travel to Tennessee next month to take a firsthand look at the program.
Tennessee has already received nine commitments for the 2025 class, led by five-star quarterback George MacIntyre and a few four-star prospects. But the Vols still have work to do at almost every position, and the offensive line is no exception.
They have yet to land their first offensive lineman in the 2025 class, but they’re still battling for more than a dozen offensive-line targets. The vast majority of them have already scheduled official visits to Knoxville sometime next month, and most of them have already visited Tennessee.
The Vols are hoping to sign multiple offensive tackles in addition to multiple interior offensive linemen. They have plenty of options on their board, including a pair of five-star tackles.
Here’s a look at Tennessee’s current targets on the offensive line in the 2025 class.
The top college football recruits for the 2025 cycle are in the middle of official visit season, and those opportunities to finalize relationships with coaches and potential future teammates often result in commitments. No. 1 available prospect David Sanders Jr., top-ranked linebacker Zayden Walker, dominant offensive tackle Andrew Babalola and others are in key stages of their recruitments and could be close to decisions.
No recruiting battle is truly complete until National Signing Day, but most of the commitments that fly in over the coming months will withstand the test of time, changes of heart and attempts from other suitors to flip those pledges to their respective programs.
National recruiting analyst Tom Loy unloaded his notebook on the 247Sports Recruiting Podcast with a wealth of information on 10 of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. He shared the latest visit schedules and updated his Crystal Ball predictions for the aforementioned prospects and numerous others.

Here is Loy’s latest reporting from the recruiting trail:
Dating back to midway through the 2019 season, Tennessee played just four games – two in 2020 and two in 2022 – without McCollough in the starting lineup. His 51 starts surpassed the previous Tennessee record held by safety Jonathan Hefney, who started 50 games from 2004 to 2007. McCollough and offensive lineman Jerome Carvin share the program record for most appearances (60 games).
McCollough totaled 241 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 16 pass breakups, six interceptions and one forced fumble in his career.
