The Philadelphia Eagles may face the departure of a crucial figure from their front office as the New England Patriots show interest in one of their personnel. As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brandon Hunt, the Eagles’ director of scouting, underwent an interview on Tuesday for the lead personnel position with the New England Patriots.
Brandon Hunt brings a wealth of experience to the table, boasting a 19-year career in scouting. He joined the Eagles’ front office in 2022 after serving as the pro scouting coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 12 years. Prior to his tenure with the Steelers, Hunt held the role of pro scout for the Houston Texans from 2007 to 2009. His journey into the scouting realm began with a two-year internship in the scouting department of the Steelers.
Beyond his professional experience, Hunt has a solid football background, having been a four-year starter at guard and center for Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2000 to 2003. He distinguished himself as a team captain during his senior year, earning accolades such as first-team All-PSAC and All-Region honors. Hunt holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and a master’s degree in business administration from IUP.
In their search for personnel leadership, the Patriots have also reached out to other notable candidates, including Terrance Gray, the director of player personnel for the Buffalo Bills, Quentin Harris, the vice president of player personnel for the Arizona Cardinals, and Trey Brown, the senior personnel executive for the Cincinnati Bengals.
