Reese has missed two games since being left off the starting lineup, and rumors have it that she has behaved badly in private—a problem that has nothing to do with her scholastic standing or grades.

Mulkey told the journalists, “You always have to deal with locker room issues.” It is merely a component of coaching. That’s the role of coaches. You all may or may not be aware of them, and at times you may wish to learn more than is reasonable.

“My players are my top priority, so I will always look out for them. It resembles a family. Do you really think we have a right to know if you discipline your own kids? In the changing room, there is a family.”
