As a result, the Cats have made the decision to exclude the eight-time All-Australian from participating in at least the upcoming four games against Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Gold Coast, and Greater Western Sydney.
Dangerfield sat out the Cats’ initial three games in April, notably absent during Easter Monday and Gather Round fixtures, following a hamstring strain incurred in round two. However, he made a comeback against Brisbane and commenced with an impressive performance against the Blues. Despite missing four games last year due to a low-grade hamstring strain, the Brownlow medallist managed to make a full recovery and complete the season.
Prior to the Cats’ triumphant season in 2022, Dangerfield encountered a setback when he missed five weeks in the middle of the season due to a calf injury. As a strategic measure, he was carefully managed during the latter part of the season to optimize his performance and ensure his peak impact during the crucial September matches.
